New Survey of Employee Perceptions of Company's Disaster Preparedness
Is perception reality? There is this survey of both US and international company employees concerning their employer’s readiness for disasters. Check out Over 1 in 4 U.S. Companies Are Not Prepared for Emergencies, Survey Reveals
In this case, it would at least be “indicators” for how a company is approaching readiness for a variety of disasters. A few points from the survey:
• 22% of American workers don’t receive any emergency preparedness training
• Nearly 1 in 4 say their company doesn’t have a written emergency preparedness plan
• Of those who have a plan, 28% say it’s not regularly tested or updated
Workers around the globe experienced firsthand how emergencies could impact their jobs during the Crowdstrike outage. Among survey respondents, 29% were impacted by the outage, and among them, 34% say their company has changed its preparedness plan because of it.
