Everyone is recognizing the challenges governments are facing with the onslaught of misinformation and disinformation. See this Government Technology article, States Work to Fight Disinformation During Emergencies  I am afraid that going forward this will be a continuing battle that will not be won, but one that must be fought if facts and truth are to prevail.
