Howdy!

Today I am starting a new partnership with The Readiness Lab which will be carrying the Disaster Zone Blog. While I’m very happy to be joining The Readiness Lab, I also appreciate the opportunity I had to be aligned with Emergency Management Magazine and their parent company e.Republic

That partnership of blogging on the Emergency Management Magazine’s platform lasted for eleven years, with over 4,000 blog posts and exceeded 2.5 million reads by loyal followers of the blog. All of those blog posts are archived and still available to you, They can be accessed at https://www.govtech.com/em/emergency-blogs/disaster-zone

Today I start a new chapter in my professional career. My advice is to not be afraid of change. We live in a “high change” environment today, driven by events and technology. Keep moving forward and embrace the change!

Lastly, watch for the Disaster Zone Podcast to also be joining The Readiness Lab’s. That announcement and a roll out of the podcast will be coming very soon.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
