Should the 450 litigants accept the offer? Hmm, that is a tough question. What does waiting more years in protracted litigation get them in the end? In the meantime, they live in suspended animation, not being able to move forward with their lives, waiting for resolution of their cases in court.

Not all disasters have these types of legal challenges, but the combination of technology and human errors that literally “sparked” the fires is also fueling these legal challenges.
