• It is about climate adaptation and how we view fire—not the underlying cause of climate change/global warming

• Hardening the “as built” infrastructure will help immensely

• Wildland interface fires may start the blazes, but these have turned urban firestorms

• There are no silver bullet fixes. There are a thousand little things that need to be done

• We have more control over fire disasters than we think

• Don’t expect your fire department to handle an urban fire storm
