This past week there were AI-generated viral image of a little girl holding a puppy while supposedly fleeing Helene

The images were fake. This is just one good example of why we can no longer “believe our eyes” when it comes to photos or video posted on the Internet when it comes to disasters. This is only the tip of the iceberg of what we will see in the future. All I can say is be prepared to deal with the aftermath when you are faced with them in your community.

For anyone old enough, there was an ad for an audio cassette tape brand back in the 1980’s. Is it real or is it Memorex?  We have gone way beyond audio to the visual.
